I might have more than one problem, but it is odd that it all developed at the same time.. It starts fine, runs for about 3 seconds, then dies. You can let it idle or wrap the piss out of it, either way it lasts about 3 seconds before it dies. He took it to a shop that replaced the fuel regulator for $300.00 which made no change. Their next idea was to replace the fuel pump for $400.00 to see if that would help. "/>

Jul 05, 2019 · Hello, am working on a 1987 Toyota Celica GT 3SFE engine. Car starts and runs pretty good when cold, after about 1/2 hour it either dies or starts to run really bad. I have checked ECT, replaced ign. read more. The truck starts for around 2 seconds then dies. What I've determined is that the truck is only starting off of the gas provided by the cold start injector. Once the cold start injector is unplugged the truck will not fire. I've tested for power at the 2nd cylinder injector plug (which is the easiest to get to) the plug does have power.
Jan 01, 2013 · 1993 T100 3.0 3vze 6cyl. has had odd problem for almost 2 years. First, it takes 2 trys to start. First one, it acts like it's starving for gas thendies. 2nd try, it starts right up.. So basically it's starts up fine everyday till it gets to operating temp then the idle bounces a bit from 1000 to 1200 to 900 to 500 to 800 to 400 to its death. I can start it right back up and it will kinda idle low till I push on the gas and either it will die or build up rpms to about 3000 then die back down.

Therefore when your engine experiences hard starts, it means that the ignition coils are faulty and are not delivering the required voltage to the sparkplugs. You can also experience hard starts when you have bad sparkplugs .... When this person hooks up to your truck, and duplicates your no start situation, he's going to scroll through the data and say "Here it is". Then, he's going to tell you why it won't start. After that, you can fix it. It will probably cost a hundred bucks, and by now you should realize that it's fucking cheap compared to throwing parts at it.
the other day i was playing in the mud, i hit a really wet hole pretty hard. the truck started spitting and spudering while trying to drive. this went on for about 20 min then it started running great. about a week passes and i park my truck on a hill while at work, it starts raining really hard. then when i start to head home, it starts spitting and spudering again. but only with a load on it. It starts fine, runs for about 3 seconds, then dies. You can let it idle or wrap the piss out of it, either way it lasts about 3 seconds before it dies. After it runs to normal operating temperature, park and turn off engine for a few minutes, it won't start the engine regardless how long the starter cranks, until at least 40 minutes later when everything cools down then it will start again. The car drives smooth, good responses, idle RPM is stable. Car will keep running for long miles. Caution: temporary fix.

Speaking of poor engine performance, if you are idling the engine and it is not running smoothly, change your fuel filter and check your pressure regulator to repair bad fuel pressure. Another sign that your engine is suffering the effects of a bad fuel pressure regulator is if you have trouble starting the car.. Oct 15, 2015 · If you are sure the fusel pump is losing pressure or stops working check the EFI relay in the fuse box under the hood, check to make sure the EFI fuse is not loose or cracked, locate the circuit opening relay it controls the fuel pump and try a new relay, if nothing else replace the fuel pump, another possibility is the air flow meter, there are contacts inside that turn the fuel pump on and ...
